Founded by Storm Ascher in 2023.
Our Mission
To uphold the legacy of Black Institutions on the East End

        AdvocacyIncrease awareness and advocacy of Black art organizations through public programming, education, and networking.

        Acquisition DevelopmentGrowing contemporary collections of artwork by artists of diverse backgrounds through exhibitions and fundraising.

        Infrastructure and OperationsMaintaining museum spaces and staff retention through fundraising.

      The Advisory Board has a fiduciary duty of care, loyalty, and financial oversight. They lay the groundwork of the strategies used to ensure the longevity of HBAC.

      The council oversees the educational and networking based special interest groups to carry out projects that achieve the mission of HBAC. 
- 
      
        
      
      Supporters contribute financial or in-kind donations to the HBAC in order for us to achieve the mission.
